This course covers basic contract principles and specific changes to the new HAR Purchase Contract form effective May 1, 2019. The NAR REALTOR® Code of Ethics reflects the high standards of business practice and professional conduct that the public and fellow practitioners can expect of all REALTORS®. The obligations established in the Code of Ethics in many instances are higher than those mandated by law. Effective since January 1, 2001, all members of the National Association of REALTORS® are required to complete training on the NAR Code of Ethics.
REALTORS® must complete this training each three-year period. The current three year training cycle “Training Cycle 6” is from January 1, 2019 until December 31, 2021. Therefore, the current NAR REALTOR® Code of Ethics training requirements must be taken and completed during this timeframe.
Existing Members of HBR who have not taken HBR’s New Member Orientation course between January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2021 will need to complete the NAR Code of Ethics Training by December 31, 2021.

It explains the duties of a real estate agent throughout the transaction and how to use HAR’s Standard Forms to facilitate the transaction process.
